Alex Salmond Wife
Alex Salmond married Moira McGlashan in 1981. Moira, a senior civil servant who was 17 years older than him, became Salmond’s superior when he joined the Scottish Office in the 1970s. The couple chose to keep their private life shielded from the public eye, opting for a life away from the spotlight.
They resided in a converted mill located in Strichen, Aberdeenshire, and did not have any children. Their close-knit partnership and commitment to privacy were hallmarks of their relationship throughout the years.
I disagreed with Alex Salmond on most things, but liked him.

What’s now clear is that Nicola Sturgeon’s Judas-like betrayal ended his dream of Scottish independence.
Salmond turned the SNP into a
force – that’s his legacy.
His protege Sturgeon then destroyed it.

Former leader of the SNP Alex Salmond died in Macedonia within the last hour, he gave a speech there this morning and posted on Twitter only 3 hours ago.

A real shock to hear Alex Salmond has died. I have such vivid memories of him absolutely in his element chatting with voters – I snapped this one during the Glasgow East by election in 2008. pic.twitter.com/gEaSk3RogG
