An Israeli mother, Inbar Segev-Vigder, was tragically killed while shielding her nine-month-old son during a terrorist attack near Tel Aviv. Segev-Vigder was one of seven victims who lost their lives in the brutal assault on Tuesday.

According to the Times of Israel, segev-Vigder, 33, a pilates instructor, is survived by her husband. Her death came alongside that of 30-year-old Shahar Goldman, a dancer who had married just last year, adding to the profound sorrow of the tragedy.

Five victims identified

Ilya Nozadze, 42, Revital Bronstein, 24, and Nadia Sokolenko, 40, were also among those killed during the attack, according to the Jerusalem Post. A seventh victim has yet to be publicly identified.

The violence erupted in Jaffa just after 7 p.m., leaving at least 16 others wounded. The two terrorists, armed with an M16 rifle and a knife, launched their attack aboard a light rail train before continuing their deadly rampage into the streets.

A joint investigation by the Shin Bet and Tel Aviv district identified the suspects as Muhammad Mask, 19, and Ahmed Hamoni, 25. Law enforcement, along with armed civilians, opened fire on the attackers. Mask was killed, while Hamoni sustained serious injuries, according to Israel Police. Both men, from Hebron, had no prior arrests but were previously involved in “disturbances,” authorities confirmed.

The seventh victim has yet to be publicly identified.

Israeli police reported that at least 16 others were injured during the terror rampage. The two attackers, both from Hebron in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, were shot and killed by security guards and armed civilians.

Though neither had prior arrests, authorities confirmed that one of the men had previously been involved in disturbing the peace at a demonstration.
